Why should I buy a Maravilla Home?
What makes the home worth more than other homes in the area?
This is a question we get asked a lot and it is a very good question. Buying a home is a major decision in anyone’s life and you should be sure you are making the right decision.
The answer to both questions above can be summed up in one word: quality. Maravilla Homes was founded on the fact that most homes in the market are built very poorly, with poor quality materials and methods. The finish out (granite, tile, doors, appliances, plumbing, lighting, etc.) offered to the buyer was great in some areas of the home, but the rest of the house suffered from the quality of the materials used. To find a quality built and well-finished home you had to look at the high-end custom builders, who normally charge $300-$400 per square foot for their products and the homes are generally 6000+ sq. ft.. Maravilla Homes believes that a discerning buyer who wants a quality built home shouldn’t have to pay that much and does not necessarily want that much square footage.

The standard finish-out (Level I) that we offer in our houses is unmatched in the production builder world. We don’t just put quality materials in the kitchen and master bath – every room, door, countertop, backsplash, light, appliance, etc. is top quality. There is nothing “second-best” in a Maravilla Home. We also offer much more flexibility in choosing the finish-out of your home. Our goal is to offer you a home that is the high-quality of a custom home, with a price tag that is substantially less.
Are there other homes in the market that cost less? Can I get more square footage for less money somewhere else? Yes! Absolutely! A Maravilla Home is not for everybody. Some buyers do not care, really, about the absolute value that their home represents. They want a “deal”, where they can get a lot of square footage for a small amount of money – a perceived value. If that is what you are looking for, then Maravilla Homes is not the place you want to be. There is a big difference between absolute and perceived value. Absolute value is just that – the real value of a home, now and in the future. Perceived value is where you think you are making a wise value decision, but you really may not be. It is really up to you – what you want now, what you want in the future and what you think the real estate market is going to do.
We design and build a Maravilla Home with your future in mind. A quality built, well-finished home is an investment. These homes will potentially increase in value faster than a home that is poorly built, with a cheap finish-out. A Maravilla Home is nicer and easier to live in, providing a superior quality of life than a poorly built home that requires a tremendous amount of maintenance and upkeep. And if, for some reason, the real estate marketplace should take a downturn at some point in the future, a quality home will hold its value a lot better than a cheap home that is mostly raw square footage. This becomes very important in this age of little- or no-money down mortgages. No homeowner wants to find themselves upside-down on their home value anytime in the future.
Does a quality built home cost more? Of course it does, but the question we have is: Compared to what? A Maravilla Home is substantially less expensive than a comparably built and finished-out custom home, but it is more expensive than the raw square footage homes on the market that sacrifices quality for space. It is really up to you. A Maravilla Home will not appeal to everyone and it will not fit everyone’s home-buying profile. But if you are looking for quality, for an investment, for quality of life and some security for the future, then Maravilla Homes is where you want to be.
